Shanghai has a wealth of restaurants and bars to choose from today, but none are as enduring, and endearing, as Cotton’s. Opened by Hunan native Cotton Ding, she started her first venue in 2003, followed by her present Anting Road venue in 2005, Xinhua Road in 2008, and Lychee, her latest, in 2017.
